The shapes that trace the tradition of the “dolium” and the terracotta jar fascinated us and therefore our containers offer traditional, yet revisited forms since they are intended for professional use.

Our containers are made with traditional techniques using selected raw materials. A patient finishing work done entirely by hand and the fruit of craftsmanship makes each barrel unique. In the field of this type of artifacts, the concept of traditional hand-made workmanship is rare. We wanted to adapt our work to the changes by acquiring new tools and finding a strong point in quality and refinement, for a product intended for professional use.

We make our wine amphorae in two versions, traditional cement and cocciopesto DT compound, and three capacities, 10, 17 and 25 hectoliters. They are cast without any structural metal armor. The cocciopesto DT container has an exterior finish with a characteristic pinkish-gray coloring, a result of the combination of ground terracotta in the mixture and a more uneven grain surface. The finish of the cement amphora is more uniform and its outer skin can also be customized and decorated with various techniques. At the customer’s request, our design office is happy to evaluate, together with the customer, how to best customize the artifacts. We also make “custom” products in sizes and shapes that are first assessed for their technical feasibility.

Cocciopesto – The cocciopesto DT container has an exterior finish with a characteristic pinkish-gray coloring, a result of the combination of ground terracotta in the mixture and a more uneven grain surface. By using cast stone aggregates and granulated cooked,  properly regenerated, with a slight addition of hydraulic binder, we can easily say that our wine vessel respect to those actually on the market in concrete, steel, wood and terracotta,  is the most eco sustainable. The container in cocciopesto DT has a perfectly smooth internal finish and an outside aspect with the characteristic pink  finish with an uneven grain and a more gross surface.

Cemento – The finish of the cement amphora is more uniform and its outer skin can also be customized and decorated with various techniques. At the customer’s request, our design office is happy to evaluate, together with the customer, how to best customize the artifacts. We also make “custom” products in sizes and shapes that are first assessed for their technical feasibility.
